Hello all! First time post and a newbie.

I currently have 2 HR22-100s installed. I also have 2 older DVRs (a DirecTV+ and a Hughes sd-dvr40) that I would like to put in my kids rooms. I plan on running the extra coax since the older DRVs require 2 and I also have a 6x8 multiswitch I can use to replace the current one. What I would like to know is can the older receivers be mixed with the newer ones? One of the HR22-100s has the DC power supply on the coax. Since there is already voltage coming from that supply, will there be an issue when I connect the older receivers to the switch? I don't want to fry any of the receivers.

Thanks!

You didn't mention what dish you have? SWM LNB or non SWM LNB?
What switch do you have? Or is it really an SWM splitter?

I'll make a couple of assumption. Since you mentioned that the HR22 has a power supply you probably have an SWM installation.
How many coaxes run from the dish? if one, then you have a SWM LNB with a splitter. If four, you probably have an SWM8 multiswitch in order to have just one line to the HR22s.

As you can see there are many combinations possible. So help us out here. :)

and most of the older units wont work with a SWM setup. Tried to use a H10 on my SWM setup...no go
