I SERIOUSLY doubt it.
You're probably right. He doesn't have a problem, he's just unlucky. He's only drank three times in his life and happened to get caught doing something dangerous or unlawful each time!!
What are the odds???
I SERIOUSLY doubt it.
The thing about this is that Cabrera has millions of dollars, and can afford to hire a lawyer to make this go away. The Tigers need him so they will stand behind him.
Is this right? No, but this is the way things work.
Drinking problem or not, what he does when he is not playing is his own business. Its when his drinking affects how he plays, like it did with the White Sox a few years ago, I have an issue.
My money is on the fact that it happens more often than not. These are just the times he got caught:
Then Wednesday happened....
Miguel Cabrera Arrested on DUI Charge in Florida
I SERIOUSLY doubt it.

How about this??:What I was trying to get at is this :
During the season you gotta believe he's NOT drinking, he's hangin out with the teammates, it would be EASY to know that he had been drinking.
What he does on his own time outside of the season is HIS doing, I really don't care what he does . (Driving under the influence I do not condone at all)
Media outlets are reporting police were summoned to a Fort Pierce restaurant before Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera's DUI arrest last month because the first baseman allegedly threatened a manager and an off-duty fish and wildlife officer.
The Florida state attorney's office released a 911 audiotape, a police video and a 41-page report on Wednesday.
According to The Detroit Free Press, the manager and off-duty officer told police Cabrera smelled of alcohol, insinuated he had a gun in a shoulder bag and said, "I know all of you, and I will kill all of you and blow this place up."
Cabrera walked into the restaurant around 10:15 p.m., according to the report, and was told by the manager that the restaurant was closing. After continuing inside Cabrera was convinced to leave but then leaned near the manager's face, said "I will kill you" and again patted his shoulder bag, the newspaper reported.
The information that was out today paints some scary stuff going on with him up to his incident
Doesn't matter. You can't go around threatening to kill people, hinting that you're carrying a gun.So, DID he have a gun with him ?
We don't know at this time.
If this is the effect drinking has on him is like this, shouldn't he stop drinking?? And, if he needs help, shouldn't he get it??He'd been drinking, alcohol has different effects on every one.
Please see my first response.Did he have any intent to actually DO any of the stuff he was yapping about, we don't know ....
Please see my second response again. Many people get belligerent and do things that they normally wouldn't think of doing.

Studies have shown that those types of rehab are the least effective. See for a recent example: The Sober Valley Lodge.Rehab does NOT have to be a 24 hour a day thing.
Not at all. All I'm trying to do is illustrate that the guy has a problem and most likely needs professional help. You're clearly doing the opposite and trying to find a silver lining in his recent troubles. If you or a loved one were driving near him while he was impaired, or personally threatened by him, I'm sure you would feel differently.I understand that you want to find the worst possible situation in all this, but you don't know any more than the next guy whats happening behind the scenes.

Go back and look at olayers that have DUI's before Goodell came onboard....
Sent from my Samsung Epic using SatelliteGuys
Bit of a change on the topic, yesterday Leyland mentioned Cabrera needed to get into baseball shape and lose some pounds, Few weeks back we were told he was in the best shape of his life??

Wait, what about his wife??Alcoholism IS a sickness. Nice to know you have compassion for fellow man. He has not hurt anyone with his drunkness yet....so let's hope he gets help he needs.
Wait, what about his wife??
Apparently he has, although some reports say she got in a couple shots of her own too.Has he? I have not kept up on this this story. And if he has, it does not make it an less a sickness?
