Who: Sandra C...a long Italian last name
Title: Obnoxious New York fan
Born: I'm in my early thirties...
Education: Graduated from St. Rose High School in Belmar and St. John's University in Queens. Yes, I'm a Catholic school girl.
Marital status: I was married for almost a year and a half years ago...I was too young, he was too...too a lot of things.
Occupation: Thanks to my former marriage I'm part owner of two companies. It was three, but I was bought out of one of them. I do nothing except some proxy votes and dividend collecting. I actually get a paycheck from one of them. The only good thing for me that came out of the marriage.
I do some volunteering at an animal shelter and occasionally fill in as hostess at my uncle's restaurant...but basically I have way too much free time on my hands!
Residence: Born and raised on the Jersey shore. Lived in LA for a while (Hermosa and Manhattan Beach), but now I'm back where I belong.
Sports experience: My older brothers took all the athletic genes my parents had in them, the only thing they had left when they got to me was beauty genes...
My brothers all excelled in high school sports and two of them in college, I was a St. Rose cheerleader.
But now I'm a triathlete! I didn't run much up until a couple of years ago because of...um...upper body issues. I thought everyone would stare at me! Now I'm old so what the heck, let them stare...
Favorite teams: Like you aren't sick of having this jammed down your throat...Rangers, Yankees, Jets, Knicks, Ohio State and St. John's.
Likes: My family. Despite their, um, eccentricities, I love them all. I particularly like watching my nieces and nephews play their youth sports. I've been to many soccer, baseball, basketball and football games over the years that have made last night's Jet/Patriots game seem boring in comparison.
Oh, I also like a certain Scandinavian goaltender, pasta (good thing I'm a triathlete!), Dennis Miller (in a whole different way than the hot goalie), my dogs and cat, watching X games type of sports, Jim Hughson, sitting down to a night of watching game after game, decadent hot fudge sundaes, Rome, TV shows about climbing Mount Everest, confident guys, and watching my nieces and nephews look up after something good happens for them on the field or court, because they know Grandpa (my dad) is watching.
And I love, love, love, everything about the Jersey shore. You'll love Belmar, Hank (or Manasquan, or Brielle, or wherever we settle down), crazy college town from Memorial Day thru Labor Day with so many people, then everyone leaves and we can find a whole beach and part of the ocean to call our own!
Dislikes: The team that cannot be named, coaches of my favorite teams who get outcoached, mean people, traffic, guys who pay way more attention to my cup size than my eye color (at least make believe you're making an effort!), cold weather (like below 60 degrees), accountants who treat you like an idiot because you're female (not that I'm not an idiot!), big mouth Curt Schilling, when your team gets knocked out and the season is over, husbands who become something different after you marry them, brussel sprouts, when your DVR doesn't record what you thought it recorded, and endless timeouts at the end of basketball games.
Bad habits: Typing way too much!
