So, I was a longtime Dish customer up until about two years ago. Then life happened and we decided to get rid of the dish as we didnt feel we were getting our money's worth out of it. We were happy enough with the service.
Also, we have a place that we go to out in the county a few times a year that would be nice to be able to watch a movie or something on. There is no cable and even OTA is basically nill (I dont speak spanish, so the one channel we kind of get is not all that satisfying ). So I was thinking pay per view. I still have enough old dish equipment that I could piece together a dish and a 301 and all. I plugged in the 301 and it said something like needing a new card (it's a purple one).
I was wondering if dish has any sort of ppv option without getting a plan where I could get a current card and have ppv available. A plan is not worth it to us, but we would be willing to do some ppv the few times we would get a chance to.
I could always bring a DVD player and disks, but that is a pain. Redbox is way to far away. And, just to be completely clear, I am not interested in getting a new card from the other side of the internet or doing the pirating thing in any way.
I was curious on yall's thoughts. Thanks!
