Switched from Cablevision to D* couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be any happier. Fantastic job by VE in getting me set up with R10, D10 & 36" dish.

R10 is simply awesome. Just have one question for the experts on this forum. How do I go about making my own groups and putting the recorded programs in there ? The R10 manual doesn't quite seem to explain this point.

You can't. They are not like folders on a computer - the TiVo groups shows itself.

I have a S1, so I have not seen groups, but I think it groups shows from the same Season Pass together, and Wishlists together.

So I guess you can create your own groups if you know ahead of time and create the proper Wishlist.

it just groups all the same shows together, so if you have a season pass for The West Wing, you'll have a The West Wing folder, etc.

Since grouping is not enabled by default on the R10 ...

When you are in the "Now Playing" list, hit the info button and it will pop-up a menu allowing you to select grouping. As JosephB indicated, the groups are named after the shows.

If I understood your question correctly.
