This morning I went downstairs and one green light was lit on the front panel. The light for tv 1. The mode indicator was not lit, and the fan was spinning. I tried to do a reset on the front panel. The tv 1 green light just flashed off and then back on immediately. Still no picture. The tv just had the input displayed like it was not receiving a signal from the 622. Unplugged the receiver from the wall for 30 minutes, plugged it back in, and same thing. Tv 1 light on, no picture, no sound. Called Dish and they started asking me about inputs and channels and all the basic stuff. I had to explain that I'm running hdmi into my yamaha receiver and then back out to the tv and I have a Logitech Harmony remote that is programmed and automatically switches inputs between the 622, PS3, and Xbox 360. Don't think they understood me. Anyway, my question is this: Is the 622 permanently dirt napping, or is there something I can do on my end to make this POS work again?

Check your HDMI cables/connections. You're getting no signal from receiver. Even if there were a problem with the 622, you would be getting error notification of some kind. But you have nothing making it to the tv. Are you pointing your harmony long enough for the Yamaha to catch the command? I've done it more than a few times with mine. BTW, 622's are far from being POSs.

yeah,
I would try (temporally) using the dish remote and tv remote and plugging the 622 directly into the TV. If that still doesn't work, I'd call them and not mention the receiver and the harmony. Those things aren't in their scripts.

Menus?

Can you see the yamaha menus on the screen? Have similar set-up w/a RX-V1900. If you can see the yamaha menus then it is before it. It also possible that the HDMI connector on the 622 has broken off. It happened to me that's when I got a 722k w/o upgrade fee (still had to go under contract). If it is just the HDMI broken off then you should be able to run it via component until you get a replacement. If you don't have DHPP add it before calling again.
