Low signal on my dads satellite

My dad calls me last night and said his signal is in the low 20s. See the installer that came out was nice and all but he installed the dish on the back of the house pointing towards the sky so I'm thinking the signal has to travel over the peak of the roof. He said every time it rains his signal goes out not to mention they have had multiple issues with the Joey heating up really hot to sound cutting out. He has an appointment set up Sunday. Should the installer move it to the front of the house instead?

Probably not unless the roof is too high and it is blocking the signal but if it were the dish would not be picking up the signals at all. sounds like he needs to have the installer that is coming out realign the dish. As far as the Joey getting hot it may need to be replaced, make sure it has air flow on all sides.
