Lines on my TV???

Since the last couple of days I have dash lines appearing on my 57" Toshiba HDTV cause by my 811. The dash lines are visible where the information banner appears across the top only. And disappear when the banner information is displayed.

Is anyone else having to deal with dash line on their HDTV picture? And if so is there a solution to fixing this before calling DISH customer support.

I had the same issues as you. The lines don't actually disapear. If you look close enough you will see the entire screen has interlacing problems. Just look at a station logo on the bottom right hand corner and verify the difference when you finally get the lines to go away. The only way I could ever get them to go away was to switch from 1080i to 480p and then back again to 1080i. Sometimes it would work and sometimes not. I finally had them come out and swap the 811 for a new one and its been fine since. It is a bad receiver or bad download.

I had the same problem, maybe even worse, with my 811 when using it to input my vcr thru the backpanel video 1 and 2 inputs. The only way I could correct it was to reset the entire 811 by removing the power plug and then reconnecting after a few minutes. Needless to say, I just connect the vcr to the TV now. My TV is a Samsung 5085 DLP.

I appreciate the response to my situation. The problem has been fixed thanks to your suggestions. In my case, unplugging the receiver for about 5 minutes seem to have worked. The dotted lines have disappeared. I love HDTV, but I can't stand this 811.
