About once or twice a week I have a complete signal loss. After working on it for a little while it will usually come back. Seems like its when I unhook the cable by the dish a couple of times. After it comes back on the signal looks good. I really need to get this fixed but I do not get home until 3:30 in the afternoon. I live in Sherman Tx. Is there a dirt member that could help me out with this. Was about six months ago they ran a new cable to dish.

When it goes out again remove the satellite cable from the back of the receiver, unplug power and let it sit for about 10 min. Reconnect the cable then plug back in. I suspect you have a short in your cable when you are playing with the cable you break the short and reset the power supply.

No good. Can not get to work at all. Tried to adjust the dish a little bit each way and nothing. Will need to get tech out here. If I dont hear from a dirt member I will call in morning. Hopefully can get later appointment. Dont have much time off I can take from job. Got to looking and it was about this time last year I had the same problem. They wound up replacing the cable. Of course I canceled my service agreement a few months ago.

We had some of the same problems and after a service call found it to be a bad switch (where all the cables connect to allow Whole Home)..>The guy changed out the switch and we don't have many outages at all anymore. (Still some outages on locals) but we can still usually watch everything else when these are out)

I am thinking the switch has gone bad.

Ended up being a bad receiver. Was glad to see it go. I had posted before about it being very sluggish and it was thought to be a software glitch. New one works great. No more freeze frames and waiting after pressing a button for something to happen. My old receiver had the OTA built in. My new one was a 722K which does not have one. They were going to charge me $50. I had told my service tech that I had been with Dish since there was a Dish and he was able to convince Dish to give it to me. Thank You Dirt Team for getting me set up.
