I just bought ( off of ebay ) a GI stand alone positioner module . Not what I thought it was . I do not think I can use it . it seems to do motor power and skew ? Connects to a GI receiver with a din connector and cable .

If you or anyone else can use it , they can have it for the shipping . ( Heavy -> transformer ? ) . Do not know if it works , have no way to test it . it has no front mounted controls . :-(
Thats what hooks to my GI 2400R to move the dish... I would use the 2400 but it will not change polaritys, that part is burnt out on my receiver... and the memory for satellites freaks out on it...

Had a broken frame on the mount on my 23? year old BUD , also had the Pivot point bolt on top about to break. I drilled and bolted a piece of angle iron on it I had till I can get it welded and replaced the pivot point bolt with a higher Grade of bolt.
Probably a good idea to at least check all mounting and pivoting bolts in the spring and fall when the sun outages occur. ( If not more often )

VCII Board still alive, so battery replacement for same next BUD project as I am thinking of re-subbing to a small package to get SciFi with better PQ for Battlestar Galactica... ( been about 9 years since I subbed)

Driving the actuator with a cordless drill - a stroke of genius.

I should undertake a VCII battery replacement too, before it's too late.

Went to put a new Chapparel polorotor on my 10' BUD Corotor II , broke all the screws and its froze up... leaving it down for the week while I try penetrating oil to free it up and planning to drill out the dutchmen next week sometime. Put a 13 Degree Lnb on the 8'Mesh dish, G4 is coming in good I went a little ways east and found xxxtsy (scrambled of course) again next week as going camping next weekend...

Got a Receiver going in my ht room on G5 with my sub and another going in the livingroom on G4 with my Coolsat 5000 hooked to it... that gives me 5 receivers in the living room :D 1 Fta, 1 C- Band 2 E* HD Dvrs and a D* HD receiver...
