Looks like the wait is finally over and AMC-15 at 105 is being turned on.

Details over at DBSTalk in this thread.

No new higher numbers yet, but five of my locals (which were on 105 TP 1) have now moved to 105 TP 18. The EPG showed "Off Air" for the switchover.

I had two channels list as 'off air' last week, but that was all night long and the OTA broadcasts were colorbars as well as the E* presentation.

Clearing a transponder is the first step to testing then using AMC-15!

nope.. just some tp activities at 105...

some channels went from tp 1 and tp 15 to tp 18 (couple markets)

while some others stayed at tp 1 and tp 15 and didn't move to tp 18 (in other couple markets)

AMC-15 wasn't turned on .. NOT YET anyhow....

Charlottesville locals are still on TP17. I'm holding at a 62 signal strength.

I am having a problem that started Thursday night. Every so often, I will briefly lose reception from 105, or the image will briefly pixelate. This lasts about 1-2 seconds each time it happens, and it happens about 15 minutes. Could this be related to switching programming to AMC-15?

Thrsuday night I thought it had something to do with rain. It was clear last night and still doing it on more than one receiver.

(This problem is only happening on my locals, or at least on NBC Channel 29 as that's the only local I watch.)

I wonder if they plan on reshuffling the transponders again that these locals are on once they put these channels onto the new 105 bird.

Thanks...

I am getting a 60
Well that's good news, I guess. I had to have Dish come out and re-peak and they were able to get about 60-62. I still thought it was too low, but if your in NEPA and that's your signal strength, then I'm satisfied. Thanks. :)

Hmmm.. Dish came out and re-peaked .. and now it's 60-62...

How much was it before Dish came out and re-peaked?

I guess i should be pretty much satisfied with this then:

May 10th, 2004:

Tp 1 and 7 and 9 and 17 and 23 = 60
Tp 2 and 12 and 22 = 63
Tp 3 and 4 and 6 and 18 = 62
Tp 5 and 11 and 13 and 19 = 59
Tp 8 and 14 and 15 = 61
Tp 10 = 64
Tp 16 = 71
Tp 20 and 21 = 60/61
Tp 24 = 0

June 18th, 2005 (currently basically) :

Tp 1 and 7 and 9 = 66-67 .. Tp 17 and 23 = 69-71
Tp 2 and 12 and 22 = 73-74
Tp 3 = 67 ... Tp 4 and 6 and 18 = 71-74
Tp 5 and 11 and 13 = 66-67 .. Tp 19 = 69
Tp 8 = 70 ... Tp 14 = 73 ... Tp 15 = 69
Tp 10 = 72
Tp 16 = 72
Tp 20 and 21 = 74 and 70
Tp 24 = 73
