Is there a minimum price I can pay Dish to avoid violating contract?

I do not watch dish at all and wondered if they still have that 19.99 basic that keeps you in contract?

Contact one of the dish service reps here on the forum. That is probably your best bet. PM them with your phone number or account number and some other identifying info and they can probably help you out.

You could probably get on the chat portion of Dish Networks website and accomplish the same thing.

I could swear the last time I looked at a contract that it required the Family Pack.

This is actually less expensive than the $17.50/month fee for breaking a contract, so you as might as well do it and get some channels. Even if you aren't going to watch the channels, you'll save $2.50 a month.

I thought they said the Welcome Pack would not allow you to fulfill your 24 month contract but it would allow you to still have leased equipment if you were out of the contract?
