Is power inserter necessary

Hey guys...Great lookin site.....I have 2 subs with dtv....Just ordered another box for my shop.....Found a extra slimline dish...so I won't have to bury 70 ft of cable.to the exsiting dish...the lnb has 4 outputs.....Just using sd for the shop...will I need a power inserter for this one box......When i hooked it up...said no communication to dish.....I hooke up at the house and had it activated....Thanks Jeffroh

You ONLY use a Power Insertor for a SWM set up, if your using a regular 3 or 5 LNB Slimline no PI necessary.

If your using 2 separate dishes, set one up at the shop and the other at the house and run the system separately .

When you set it up, do the "Repeat Sat Set Up" (It's in the Ant and Sat section) make the changes so it shows the correct LNB's being used when setting up and you'll be good.
