Yup I wouldn't call that a Festivus. Most folks will never see those channels.

SatelliteRacer means well. I dont know if he is prodded by DirecTV to post what he does or if he does it on his own. He has not been 100% correct in everything he has said, but has a damn good record and I apreciate the crumbs he leaves.

Sure guide data could have got messed up to even start this dialog but I think D* would have fixed it by now if that were the case. Unlike many rumors of HD coming that NEVER happened posted on this sight, this is the first one with actual evidence, not "solid" evidence but evidence all the same.

I hope that's the case but I remember a lot of that same hope and sentiment from people when D11 went live last year but we all know what a dud (as far as new national HDs with only 4 new ones) that turned out to be.

Fergie posted info elsewhere from a source of his that seems to indicate no G4 or other surprises this time.

I contacted G4 and the person I email knew nothing about G4 HD launching on Directv. He also said that only a couple of the shows/movies on G4 are actually true HD. I'll post the email later as I have to do my annotations in my American Lit class.

All indications I am getting is its a guide error.

But with that said G4HD is a real HD channel which airs on a number of Comcast Systems. So it is possible that the satelite providers could pick it up at anytime.

If G4 came I would expect to see E! and Style HD (I believe its Style HD) added as well at the same time.

I get G4HD Style HD on Uverse..

MLB HD was added on 1/1/09.

Comedy Central HD was added on 1/21/09.
