Not sure whether this belongs here or in the Installer forum, but I'll give this a shot.
D* installer is coming out on Thursday morning for a three-receiver installation. In the interest of both time and getting things the way I want them, I've got most of the interior set up with both phone and RG-6. There's also a hole in the side of the house which was put there by the previous owners for god knows what, and I'd like to reuse that rather than have to drill a new hole. Now... having read some of the customer horror story threads in the Installer forum, I wouldn't begrudge any tech for being a little bit twitchy around a customer who has a lot of requests in mind. Having said that, beyond being generally polite and pleasant, what's the best way to get on the installer's good side right off the bat? I want to come across as helpful and not as a hotshot wannabe. I'm not above offering a frosty beverage if that's the best answer
If the installer is paid by the job, it should be to his benefit if I can help him get done faster. ...right?
For what it's worth, I've got a successful Ku FTA installation in place today, so I'm not a total novice
