Being a country fan, my favorite station on Sirius is Prime Country, and I enjoy their weekly retro countdown show called "Prime 30". I usually end up missing the show when it regularly airs, but enjoy catching it during the week while at work via their App or online via OnDemand.

Last week, the Prime 30 episode never appeared OnDemand, and then this week, the whole show was no longer listed as being available anymore. For the heck of it, I emailed Mike Terry, the host of that show and regular DJ on the country channels to ask if they were no longer going to be available OnDemand. (his email was listed on the Prime Country page)

You know, he replied back to me within 10 minutes that he would check on it, and within the hour, the show and two most recent episodes were back up on their website and app! I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround! :D

Everytime someone posts a positive experience I see the same responses, same comparisons to other services. 3.5+ Million subscribers up from 30 Million. Easily good enough sound in the car from the built in system for all the forms of entertainment you get and sounds very good at home from Alexa and/or through stereo system or from DISH through stereo system. Most of us are not audiophiles demanding that. I can't stream reliably in the car nor have the data to do so all the time. If I only wanted music and nothing else I might not subscribe though the discounts you get make it worth it.

I think the point of the OP is to give kudos to the people involved with the day to day operations of Sirius XM, not those that work at overseas call centers.

The sound quality off of the satellites could be better, but I don't think it is all that bad. The content beats the hell out of local dinosaur radio anyday! I enjoy listening to Sirius XM and the on air talent that makes it great like Grant Random, Shannon Gunz, Mike Terry and others. The streaming audio quality is much better, I have unlimited data on my phone, so I don't care about usage but I don't feel like feeling like dealing with drop outs, or the PITA it is to switch stations. Besides the collection of stations on Shoutcast, Pandora was the only streaming audio service I used but I refuse to use them anymore since they support terrorism. I use Slacker on occasion, but Sirius XM is still my #1 place for audio entertainment, and has been for ~15 years.

How much does the stream cost ? Can you get that as a separate package ?

It's more expensive then one might think. Looks like streaming only is $16. Or $4 extra as an add on if you have a satellite subscription that doesn't inlude streaming

Our Most Popular Packages

I have All Access on three radios, which includes streaming, so I don't pay anything additional beyond the $20 for the first subscription and $15 each for the additional two, plus the stupid royalty fee.

I had an on line chat yesterday to try and see what was available. I currently have All Access which includes streaming. I recently purchased a new car and have a 3 month free trial. The agent said I could get a special promo which would cut my bill in half for a year. I said I would consider when my 3 months were up. I then received an email saying my account had been charged $139. When I called back to have the charge removed, the CSR had no idea what he was doing. The charge better not show up on my bank accont when the banks reopen on Tuesday.I am glad I saved a transcript of the chat.

Ever try to drop service with them? That alone ensures I will never sub again.
HAHA yes i have and it only took me two days to do it. i told em i wanted to cancel because my radio broke after being a subscriber for 11 years!!! once i told em that they started offering me the moon and stars from a free month of service to free radios plus discounts just to keep me :biggrin. won't be long before they start blowing up my phone with deals and offers and sending out fliers to get me back!!!

I called yesterday to cancel. It wasn’t TOO painful. I agreed to let it run out till the current subscription ends, 11/28/18.

Now I guess I’ll get a few email offers. I so rarely read my emails today. Even after screening rules, so much is junk.
