If I downgrade package do I lose my HD for life?

I have America everything now and am considering a downgrade to minimum level ... which is just all crap 55 channels of pure junk. The reason is so my EHD will still work and with Amazon Prime I have a great selection. HOB/Showtime seems to not actually offer much.

I have HD free for life. Will I still have the HD when I return to the higher package in a years or so? I know there is nothing to watch on the junk packages ... just the return is what I am interested in.

You would not lose it. This tag will always be on the account.

From what I remember you can downgrade to the Welcome pack or Smart pack and then come back to top 120 or higher and it doesn't effect the hd for life. But I would definitely contact DISH or the DISH support on this website and ask them to make sure.

I believe the only way you would lose it is if you quit doing auto pay or paperless billing.

If you paid the $99 fee, or if E* offered you HDFFL as compensation for losing something that they discontinued, the tag will always be on your account, as long as the account stays active, regardless of whether or not you are on auto pay/paperless.
