I need info on new hopper plus

So, are all existing customers eligible for the Hopper+ upgrade? I know about a week or so ago, I wasn't eligible. Maybe it was the State I live in. I will have to give Dish a call.

That was my best guess. It was based on the fact that Scott had no more official announcements available on the 15th, combined with this clue from the Dish Scapes thread:

It might be interesting knowing what the one letter a month is spelling. So far we have "22SEP".

I have a funny feeling over the next 4 months it's going to end up "22SEP2022". 5G going live? New Hopper debut? Hmmm???

So, it would seem that the September 22nd date is important for some reason. Only four more days until we find out why...

Scott made a point of pointing out the hidden letters in the Dish Scapes, in the same video that shows off some of the features of the Hopper Plus and the new Joey 4's. That thread is still sticky, and therefore, still relevant. I am merely piecing together the available clues.

The hidden letters in the Dishscapes have nothing to do with the Android Devices. The hidden letters in the Dishscapes spell out DISHSCAPES22. Yay.

BTW for the person on the other forum, the boxes DO display 4K HDR content from DISH. Although it seems to have issues with some TV. I have found a work around on this error as I have seen it on mine before, when the error comes up press the GUIDE button. The 4K HDR content will then be displayed.

Yeah, I figured. I was just messing with everybody. There is not nearly enough love on here for the 50.0 remote. Just trying to balance the scales.

Forget your 40 remote with the Hopper+ and Joey 4. It is not supported. The 54 remotes are the only ones supported.

More accurately, it needs to be a voice remote. That is why I cheered the 50.0 remote (which is also a voice remote) just to be contrary. Or have things changed since Scott posted this?...

I believe it does work with a 50.0, I think I have a few of them. From memory they just do not have the Google Logo on them, but work the same.
