Here is my issue and setup:
I have both cable and sat. service, I have only a single service feed to my place, this can not change. I have 1 standard def. DirecTV dish(single lnb), and 1 D10 standard def. receiver. At my outside service line from the street, I have a diplexer placed to take in the cable service feed and my satellite feed, which then puts out my service line that comes into my house(in garage). There I have a diplexer placed to take IN the service line and put OUT the seperate cable feed and sat. feed, the cable feed is then split with one line going to where my cable modem is placed and one feeding the IN on an 8 way coax distribution amp, which then obviously feeds the wall plates in my house. The sat. feed is then fed to another diplexer IN where there is a jumper placed on the the one OUT of the diplexer that goes to the cable amp, the other OUT of the diplexer is the cable that goes to the wall plate where I haved placed the DirecTV receiver. At that point, the wall plate in the "DirecTV room", comes off to another diplexer IN, with one OUT to my DirecTV receiver and the other to a cable box.
Here is the problem, when the DirecTV receiver has its feed connected(f-connector on back), I lose some, not all of my HD channels on the CABLE service in my house, not only on the cable box that is connected in this line as mentioned above, but any of them, DirecTV service is perfectly fine, no issues at all. So all I can come up with is some sort of back fed interference or noise??? So what guru can read all this and let me know what to do, I really want to fix this. Thanks for your help, everyone.
