PLEASE ONLY REPLY TO THIS IF YOU LOST YOUR DISTANT NETWORKS.

If you are one of the folks who have lost their Distant Network services on Dish Network please reply to the following questions...

1) When did you lost your distant network?
2) What DMA do you reside in?
3) If you had CBS HD did you lose that as well
4) Have you called your senator at (202) 224-3121? (If you emailed you should also call more weight is placed on calls over email) :)

Thanks for helping us compile this information, again I ask that only folks who have lost their distant networks reply to this thread, in addition I ask that only answers to the above questions be in this thread. Non answers and regular chat will be removed from this thread so that we can better watch whats going on.

Thank you

Called and e-mailed 2 Senators and Rep. Have had 2 call backs from Rep's office. They are getting a lot of calls and e-mails. He said that there are many congressmen who believe that the court over stepped its authority. He believed there were two possibilities in the short run. One was to use a senate bill for digital white areas , a map is due from the FCC this month, and open up distant HD channels to the unserved. The second was to to put a congressional hold on the injunction as to being unconstitutional and set up further discussion. He also believed that E* and the networks ,they worked out a Deal with, had an apeal still pending in the upper court that directed the lower court opinion.

2. Pittsburgh, PA
3. Still have CBSHD through NY
4. Called and talked to a PA rep (secretary). I asked if I would be getting a response by phone. She stated I would be receiving feedback through the mail.

1. Lost my one distant sometime between 11/1 and 11/3 (wasn't home at the time). My DMA did not have a CBS affiliate for a while so we had Dallas CBS. When our local CBS launched, Dallas CBS was never turned off so I had both the local and Dallas station.
2. Texas
3. Did not have CBS-HD
4. Not yet
