A clever marketing gimmick, to be sure.
Doubt it'll really do that much for sales, though.

What I'd like all smartphone makers to do, is offer -reasonable- screen replacements.
Maybe $100.
Repairman can purchase iPhone 4 & 4S screens for $30.
And with the iPhone 4 going back into production for India/Brazil, I don't see the sources drying up any time soon.

Yes, other screens cost more.
But Samsung screens just aren't available from anyone but Samsung themselves.
That puts a stranglehold on prices (single source).
