How to program Remote Dish

I just installed dish sat. Everything is going good.
My problem is I can't figure out how to program
my DVD/VCR Magnavox to the Dish Remote.
Mostly I don't understand programing the Aux-
iliary controls to use the Dish remote. Any help
with this problem would be very appreciated.

if you are trying to program a VCR/DVD combo to the dish remote you are wasting your time. 99.9% of the time the remote will not operate a VCR/DVD combo.

You have to enter a number after the "AUX" is blinking. I think it is 1 for a dvd, but not quite sure. Go to dish.com and search there, there should be info regarding what you want to do.

Yeah I pretty much gave up even attempting combo's when I'm doing installs... they don't work! Best try would be to use the code search..... hold down TV button at top of remote till it blinks, then hit the TV power button till it goes solid, press page up or down and each time it will blink that is a code going through it. If it turns the TV off (make sure its on when you do this) then press the pound button and that's it you got it.
