WOW, wonder why my Joey isn't using the new GUI!It's the Joey 1 and it uses the new gui. It's not any faster really.
Yeah I don't like the big numbers that pops up when you change channels using the numbers.THings look good now. Ironically I can only give thje new UI mixed reviews.
Funny thing is I don't believe that many of the apps work with that build of the software.Yep, because 5 minutes after he gets the new GUI he'll be back looking for new apps, new HD channels, etc.....
I heard from DISH overnight about this. They wanted me to pass along that anyone doing this is doing so "at their own risk."
You can't go back. Think of it as Hotel California, you can check in but you can never leave.Well how can you go back to an earlier version then? Is the system ruined? Can't do anything about it now...
You might not have any trouble with future updates. Keep you fingers crossed.I just want to be able to get future updates. I guess I'll have to get the h3 now.
Not necessarily, thus my warning NOT to do it. But that will only happen on specific hardware combinations. (I don't know what that is)Well certainly when everyone else gets the real on the street updated ui we will too.

I seemed to of missed something here. Is the new UI being installed as a nightly update or some trick with the remote buttons ?
Since I am going to turn one HWS in next week, Ill send the one back with the skunk works UI on it
It is my understanding that the other Hopper will notice you got the new UI on the other Hopper and will download it itself to the other one. It would be interesting to see if this happens for you.
