Thanks. My H3 says latest available software for Joey 4s is P510/P610 in the Diagnostic menu. I check the menu several times a day. When I see P512/P612 is avaiable I will try to put my Joey 4s into standby with the screen saver setting.Home, device preference, Screen saver, put device to sleep
Joey on P112?? I thought that is the H+ software. I have my H+ disconnected.OMG I must be still tired. start now after changing the put device to sleep after 15 minutes. I would think a reboot or power cycle would work. Ill check my joey but think its on P112
Yep totally confused. All I know is I am tired of the black screen issues. Constantly having to reboot. My Joey 4s somehow went from P507/P607 to P510/P610 on 19 Nov 22. There is no improvement. I have company coming and I need the P512/P612 that I hear fixes the black screen issues. I may have to swap my Joey 4s back to my purchased WJs that were rock solid.Part of the software for the Hopper + and Joey 4's is stored and installed from your Hopper 2 or 3. The Hopper + and Joey 4's download from there.
However there is another part of the software that is part of the Android platform which is needed to operate your Hopper + and Joey 4's and that software is sent over the internet.
You can get updates on your Hopper + ad Joey 4's without the available software shown ever changing on those devices.
Confused yet?![]()
My Joey 4s won't let me select the start now button in the standby menu.Opps forgot to add then hit start now
What do you mean by it won't let you select start now button? My Joey 4s won't let me select the start now button in the standby menu.
I mean it won't let me click/select the start now button. It is grayed out. Finally I got the start now button to work by changeing the screen saver setting from Turn screen off to Backdrop. However, my Joey still does not go into stanby mode. Constant green lite stays on.What do you mean by it won't let you select start now button?
3 things #1..Don't believe the [ Put Device to sleep setting ] it goes to sleep #2..The green light always stays on #3..Change the screen saver setting to colors[ I think it is less taxing on the system ]I mean it won't let me click/select the start now button. I am a J4 owner and a Beta tester.I don't own a Joey4 but I find it hard to believe that the green power light stays on when the Joey4 is in standby mode. All other Dish receivers have the power light go off when in standby mode. Can a Joey4 owner check this out.

Sorry But I can't give out that info it's against the rules. NDAAre you on P512?
You can put Joeys into standby mode from the Hopper in Options/TV Activity by clicking on any that are on and selecting power off.DISH Support. What is taking so long to receive software updates P512/P612 for my Joey 4s? Updates have been out for a while. I talked to a supposedly level 4 Joey 4 specialist yesterday and he said the Joeys have to be in standby mode. He wasn't aware the Joey 4s don't go into standby when the TV is turned off. Is there some way to put Joey 4s into standby mode?
ThanksYou can put Joeys into standby mode from the Hopper in Options/TV Activity by clicking on any that are on and selecting power off.
As you know the Joey 4s get the update from the Hopper. Both my H3s still have P510/P610. Loyalty department sent a hit today to see if they would update to P512/P612. No luck yet.You can put Joeys into standby mode from the Hopper in Options/TV Activity by clicking on any that are on and selecting power off.
A hit won't do it. You COULD try a factory reset, but I don't know what that will do to your settings, recordings, etcAs you know the Joey 4s get the update from the Hopper. Both my H3s still have P510/P610. Loyalty department sent a hit today to see if they would update to P512/P612. No luck yet.
