Hopper keeps freezing, black screen, then rebooting...any advice?

Had the hopper for about a year now. Problem started yesterday. I can turn on my hopper and will get picture and sound for about a minute, picture will then freeze and sound will stop and ten seconds later, a black screen will appear and then hopper will reboot itself. It will then cycle through this process again. Also, if I try to use any remotes commands, like DVR or guide, that will also cause the hopper to freeze and restart. Hopper is plugged into the wall.

Any ideas?

Unplug your Hopper for 15 seconds then restart it. If the issues persist contact DIRT for assistance. They are listed in red under Helpers on Line.
 
Had a similar issue. I had to have my Hopper with Sling replaced. My daughter was mad due to losing her 150 recordings. She is hogging the recording time to re-record them again. Good luck to you. FYI, given the option of 2 - 3 days for delivery of a new Hopper or a same day appointment for a tech to install, I chose the latter. Gary
Edit: The tech who came to my house told me that since the Hopper with Sling is relatively new item, there are not alot of refurbished units being installed. I got a brand new replacement. The box the unit comes in will have a sticker if it is a refurbished unit.
