I am looking for advice on a rather silly issue.
I have a Hopper Duo and one Joey.
I connected an external HD to the Duo, and it works as expected. If you go to DVR > Other Devices the Duo HD and the external HD show on the menu, you can move between the two and do everything you are supposed to.
But the Joey is another matter; it does something quite stupid.
When you first turn on the Joey's TV, you can get to the DVR recordings on the Duo HD as you should. But, if you go to DVR > Other Devices, ONLY the External HD is shown on the menu. From there, you can select the external HHD and do everything you are supposed to be able to do with it. However, since the External HD is the only thing listed on the Joey's other device menu, THERE IS NO WAY TO RETURN TO THE DUO HD. YOU ARE STUCK IN THE EXTERNAL HD. The only way to get back to the Duo HD that I have found is to restart the Joey.
The drive (currently) is a USB powered HD. It's an old platter drive from my Apple Laptop in a USB enclosure. Apparently, this setup is not supported despite the fact it sort of works. That said, I have an externally powered Hitachi platter drive, and it exhibits the same behavior.
So, does anyone know how to get the Joey to show both the Duo HD and the External HD on its other devices menu?
TIA;
Ken
