Hopper 3 remote batteries

Is it normal for the batteries in the Hopper 3 remote to run down quickly? I have had the hopper since June and have had to change the batteries twice

the one that came with the hopper don't know model number

It'll be molded into the battery cover. Probably 54.x

Either way not normal, probably just a bad remote.

Twice over seven months is not abnormal. Depends on the amount of usage.
