The quote was for Americas Top 250...But I may go with America's Everything Pack because the wife loves her Movie Channels!
You say it seemed low-priced, are they not disclosing something to me?
I didn't look up any details, but when I had Americas 120 with H3 and 1 Joey I was over $80.
You are probably getting new customer special pricing with free HBO for a while. So just check how long the freebies last and what might happen after your 2 year price lock.
Use your tv remote and hit information and it shows the resolution on your screen. I have a Vizio 4k tv.How do you know when a show you are watching thru the Hopper is 1080p or 2160p. It doesn't say in the info screen.
I let my TV do the conversion from 1080P to 4k. Is there an advantage to letting the Hopper3 do it?I use multi view on my Hopper 3 to kick it into 4k and then as long as I don't turn off the receiver , everything is at 2160p or 4k. I just DISH would enable this feature as a setting so we could keep our receiver in 4k or upconverted to 4k output. Until then I will use multi-view to turn it on.
Let us know how you make out.Well...I was trying to gather Pros & Cons of 2 H3s but the Chat about two Hopper 3s imploded! Sounds like it's expensive & or just lucky to get Dish to let ya have 2-H3s.
How do you choose TV or Hopper to do the conversion?I let my TV do the conversion from 1080P to 4k. Is there an advantage to letting the Hopper3 do it?
If the signal is not 4k when it arrives at the TV all 4K TVs have to up convert the picture to 4k to do the display. I just leave the Hopper3 at the default and allow the TV to convert the picture for display. How do you choose TV or Hopper to do the conversion?

When the 2yr promo is about over I'll re-evaluate/shop around...Especially, since Cord Cutting is gaining momentum, which should keep prices competitive??
Sorry, don't understand.Try it both ways and pick the one that looks better to you.
If you set the dish receiver to output 1080i (or 1080p), then your 4K TV will upscale the video to 4K. If the Dish receiver outputs a 4K signal (I don't know if it is capable of this or not), then the Dish receiver is doing the up-scaling.Sorry, don't understand.
Tkz, understand now.If you set the dish receiver to output 1080i (or 1080p), then your 4K TV will upscale the video to 4K. If the Dish receiver outputs a 4K signal (I don't know if it is capable of this or not), then the Dish receiver is doing the up-scaling
Is that you, Phil Collins?THIS being the key phrase. In my market, there are about a 1/2 dozen retailers and I wouldn't give them a rope to save their lives if they were drowning.
First, decide what Dish equipment and programming you want. What are the steps I need to do for a proper/easy/legal switching from DTV to DISH?
First, decide what Dish equipment and programming you want.
Second, contact Dish or a local installer and order the service.
Third, make sure that everything is working properly.
Fourth, contact DirectTV and cancel their service.
Do not cancel until you are satisfied with number three....
