Honestly don’t know until I get there. I have $700 put away for the Hotel. But don’t know about resort fees, taxes etc.

Speaking of Team Summit I gathered and tested all the equipment I am bringing with me and found everything but the “hot shoe” adapter that goes on top on my camera rig so I can attach the wireless mic receiver to the top of the camera.

I ordered another one from Amazon for $15 which was just delivered a few minutes to go.

Went and got the batteries for the mic and receiver and charged the LED camera light.

So except for the part that just arrived, I have all the equipment packed and ready to go.

Starting to get excited now.

Just got a call from a friend of mine who is a DISH retailer from CT who I am traveling with, and he just notified his flight was canceled for him and his wife. They were on the same flights with me.

I just checked my flight and I am not canceled. Phew.

If they canceled my flight not sure how I would get these this late in the game. I am sure it would be a lot more money.

We had a direct flight to Vegas and then they changed it so we flew to Ft Lauderdale then from there to Vegas.

So instead of almost 5 hours it is now a 10 hour trip.

He booked his flight after me so that’s why I am guessing I wasn’t bumped.

I do hope he can get there. And I hope I can get there.

Well an update my friend was able to rebook his flight for himself and his wife on the same flight. Jet Blue did not tell them why their trips were canceled.

One thing I noticed on my flight is they canceled my checked baggage and gave me a refund of $30. Not sure what that is about, but I need to bring a suitcase with my equipment. A carryon will not do. I am guessing and hoping I can check in a bag there.

But everything remains a go.

Ok my friend was contacted by Jet Blue this morning...

Seems like it was a screw up on their end as he was booked for the flight 3 times. They refunded him and he got the original price.

Just got word that Hartford / Springfield will be one of DISH Geni5is Launch Cities. Maybe I might be carrying 2 phones in the near future.

Well folks I am getting excited. Since writing this yesterday I have been getting all kinds of calls and messages from people at DISH.

Looks like my busiest day will be on Thursday where not only do we have the big general assembly, but I have a number of video shoots lined up for you guys.
