Help! How can I upgrade my 533 receiver for free?

I've recently upgraded to the America's Choice 250 with HBO and wanted to upgrade my receiver - its been acting quirky lately and I replaced it twice last year. I currently have a refurbished unit.

I don't have a HD TV and I'm looking for more space on my DVR (the 522 has 100 hours)

Which receiver would you recommend for my needs?

Thanks for any help!

the 625 dvr is a great product i would call them and see what you are eligible to receive you may be eligible to do the diup w/ 18month contract they have a $100 mail in rebate - mine was $119 upfront then i did the rebate and got a $100 credit to make it only $19 which is really not that bade of a deal

Why is the 625 so good?

They have the same 100hrs...

can you tell me the benefits?

There is a update that is supposed to be coming out for the 625 that will increase the HDD space past 100 hours by decreasing the use of the space reserved for Video on demand service, which is a joke.

Swapping a 522 for a 625 makes little to sense to me, recording is about the same. If recording is that big of deal upgrade to a 722/622 and purchase external HDD support. That will give you more than enough recording room.

If you want more than 100 hours of storage invest in a DVD recorder and really have a permanent storage media. A hard drive is prone to failure and loss of all your stored programming.

2 HD PVR, whats the upfront cost

at-250 vs fios tv
