 Hello I am new to the world of satellite TV and just spent several hours in a frustrating search for information.

How do I get started?

How many satellite companies are there?
If I choose DirecTV, do I have to order from them directly?
I am SOOOO confused over all these "flashy" deals, like FREE FREE FREE! EVERYTHING IS FREE! Yeah but when I read the small print it says I need to commit to 2 years of DirecTV to make it "free".

Can anybody suggest a place where I can get Satellite TV, or a site that is not filled with flashing pop-up ads?

Thanks!

check out dishstore.net for dishnetwork or valueelectronics.com for directv. both are sponsors of the site and will treat you well.

welcome to the site.

WOW, the valueelectronics com web site is WAY WAY CONFUSOMUCHO! Dang! FREE FREE FREE. Crap! Looks like I'm going to need an advil to sort this one out!

How come most of these sites are so freakin' LOADED with ATTENTION GRABBERS?!

Ok I'll check it out now...

18" picks up 1 satellite location.
18x20 picks up 3 satellite locations.

Go with the 18x20 to help "future-proof" your system.
