I have this question as well. I'm in FSN North territory (darn, my MN Twins just lost to Oakland!). Anyway, someone over on AVS Forum says it's supposed to be today (Wednesday 9/13) but nothing yet .... I'm also curious as to how these will show up (I have the ViP622).

At the moment they are doing a HD Test on Altitude Channel 360, however looks like there is nothing else scheduled today in HD.

We were also expecting them to be turned on today since its the first day of CEDIA, but nothing to report yet.

I assume it would be around 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific?

Maybe they're not worrying about turning them on right now, but instead they'll wait until they get closer to an actual game, later this afternoon?

I have a hunch it may have been at 12:10pm CST today. I'm pretty sure that the Oakland/Minnesota game was in HD today ... It was on ESPN as well but it was blacked out on ESPN in our area so not sure if that was in HD or not ...

Now remember these are not full time channels. And they will only be showing "Select" HD games from the channels they carry.

Depending on the time of day your favorite team might not be on Dish in HD even though Dish carries that HD area.

I'm a little confused as to how it will work, maybe someone can shed some light on this...

In LA We currently have 411 (prime) and 417

411 is the home of the LA Dodgers and 417 is the home of the LA Angeles of Anaheim...

Assuming we get one HD RSN channel will they just combine the two channels and broadcast whatever is HD on the HD RSN? What if there are two games on Live in HD (I know for baseball this will not be a huge problem for long).

From what I understand, which may be incorrect, you will be able to see up to 4 channels from 129 and up to 4 more from 61.5. So on 129 they will be selecting up to 4 feeds from the 10 or so RSNs designated for 129. The RSNs selected will vary from hour to hour, or program to program.

so there's a chance you'd have to catch a replay in order to see your favorite team... it'll take some getting used to.

If they had this working with the right channels, they could be providing the Astros at Cardinals in HD from the FSN Houston and FSN Midwest perspectives. Currently both are up on C band with separate announcers and separate camera selections.

I don't think they are in postion to start these before NHL season begins. A lot of prep work has to be done.

I wonder if they have any plans to do Fox Sports Detroit. I Am leaving D** tomorrow afternoon and getting E**. I was very aprehensive about leaving a sure thing since D** already has FSD in HD but I was very angry with how they treated me in regard to getting a HD upgrade. They origionally schedueled me for the 12th then pushed it back to the 29th. I think this was due to all the new subs for NFLST. I had NFLST but can live without it since my home team is always on TV and all of the other games I would watch are on the other channels like ESPNHD NBC and CBS. So I'm taking the leap with hope that they will get FSD in the near future. Anyone have any insight into this?
