The best way to get rid of programs with bad language is just do not watch them and hope that enough other people do the same, so the show will be canceled.
Netflix: Lost in Space“Lost in Space” on Netflix?
The original, a remake, or nothing to do with “Danger, Will Robinson!”
Heck, a remake could be made very “suggestive.”

Even as a Christian I admit using bad language from time to time, so I really don't bother with the bad language removal app. Saves a few bucks for me.The best way to get rid of programs with bad language is just do not watch them and hope that enough other people do the same, so the show will be canceled.
I don't know about that. While my age group sees the language offensive and in most cases adds nothing to the storyline, the younger demographic sees it as normal and "just the way people talk". The younger demos are the target audience, not my age group. The best way to get rid of programs with bad language is just do not watch them and hope that enough other people do the same, so the show will be canceled.
Just more proof of the dumbing down of society.I don't know about that. While my age group sees the language offensive and in most cases adds nothing to the storyline, the younger demographic sees it as normal and "just the way people talk"

No, I wasn't meaning that. I've done, and still do my share, but I use discretion in respect of those around me.Right, because older people never cussed, ever, right? Smh

That doesn't refute Scott's claim. They don't need to have a "Sunday at 9:00" for those shows. They can easily put it On Demand and release a new episode every Sunday or Monday.Well I guess that is true if you were subscribed for the boxing or movies. I would say that HBO is a better channel than it once was.
Consistently the top Emmy winner.
True Detective
The Night of

Silicon Valley
Real Time With Bill Maher
Last Week Tonight
Vice News
Many documentaries
Netflix has a lot of content but most of it isn’t very good. HBO is known for quality.
That's definitely true, and also partially the reason why I have satellite. But what's the ROI for a satellite company to continue to exist just for rural customers? Clearly DirecTV doesn't see it.
C-band intially filled that niche. Perhaps Dish will continue on in that capacity.
It almost sounds like cable channels are getting replaced by individual streaming apps and creating the de-facto ala carte model that everyone is wanting
You mean when they had 1 channel?...I remember when it was on 1/2 a dayI agree with Bruce's deduction. The offerings from HBO is far less. Netflix had equal originals to that of HBO. Furthermore, they both are hit or miss in their monthly movie offerings. I do care to say that Netflix is getting better in its Stand Up Comedy as well. Dave Chapelle, Joe Rogan, Jim Norton, etc have all released Netflix specials within the last year. Boxing was HBO's last true cavieot, and they pulled the plug on that as well.
It's just as dumb as when they canceled Inside the NFL and let Showtime grab that.
I grew up with HBO. I swore by HBO. But. HBO since the early 2000s isnt the same HBO that was premier in the 80s and 90s. If they still used Simply the Best as their slogan, I'd say shenanigans.

Yeah, we had it when HBO first started up. During the week programming would usually begin around 1pm then they generally had a movie begin at 11pm and would sigh off whenever that movie completed. On the weekends they would begin programming around 10am and at night there would be an additional movie following the 11pm movie. I don't recall exactly when they went to 24 hours programming. You mean when they had 1 channel?...I remember when it was on 1/2 a day

I also recall the video shorts they used as fillers between movies, some were interesting.
As do I. My family originally had Cinemax, but after the late night movies started, they switched to HBO. They picked Cinemax because it was on 24 hours from launch. We never subbed to UHF scrambled movie networks. Luckily, we had cable early on.You mean when they had 1 channel?...I remember when it was on 1/2 a day
