You'll have to Scan Digital in the Local Channels menu to get your local OTA back.mperdue said:...
So far everything looks good except that I no longer have local channel info from my OTA channels. What's up with that? I've got to setup my favorites and stuff now. I'll report back when it's all done.
I scanned the channels and they show up in the program guide but there's no program information like I got with the 811's. I did a reset so the program guide would download again, but still no info on the local channels...mdonnelly said:You'll have to Scan Digital in the Local Channels menu to get your local OTA back.
Another thing: the default HD resolution on the 211 out of the box is 480p, so go set that to 1080i/720p, depending on your set.
Other threads have stated that you need to sub to Dish locals for OTA EPG data on the vip211, like the 942/921. I still sub to locals for my last 311, so it's there for me.mperdue said:I scanned the channels and they show up in the program guide but there's no program information like I got with the 811's.
