I beg to disagree. The GT Media boxes give more than you pay for. My goodness, I only paid $30 delivered to me for a V7S5X. I paid $215 for my Edision Mio+ (plus shipping). Which is best? I never answer that question about anything. Each has its own capabilities.
The GT Media has a rapid accurate blind scan. For this reason, I blind scan all the time: repeatedly each satellite, each day. The receiver is sensitive. Its streaming capability is pitiful. Its user interface is a little awkward but you get used to it. The Edision blind scan requires you to get food before starting so you don't perish while waiting. But...the Edision's streaming capability is excellent. The other features of the Edision make it a quality receiver worth its price provided you invest some time to learn it well.
I'm glad I have both boxes. I would buy either again without thinking further.
4.2.2.? I will never believe any consumer receiver will have that capability despite what its advertising may claim unless I see it for myself. For me, considering the rarity of 4.2.2. that I find, I can just stream the feeds wirelessly via wifi to my laptop and plug the HDMI cable back into the big screen. This is easy and works reliably.
