Google Scores NFL Sunday Ticket Package

So, What is the "Discounted Price " for the NFL this time around ?

I don't use YTTV, but I do for the ST ... is it suppose to Auto Renew (like the D* Sports Packages do/did ?

I'm not paying for YTTV at all ...

Do you guys turn ON the YTTV along with the ST ?

$350 for standalone NFL Sunday TIcket
- 4 payments monthly of $87.25.
- $100 off

$179 for new YTTV customers
- 4 payments of $44.75
- requires a YTTV membership at $57.99/mo for the first 3 (save $45) then $72.99.
- $215 total in discounts

I intend to sub to locals in some form at the beginning of the football season, YTTV or something. Not paying for any local TV atm.

Not sure on the auto renew stuff, since it was tied to my YTTV last season and I suspended / cancelled that.

Thanks meStevo,

I remember there being several times that YT did a NFL discount last year ...

I think it may have been June (ish), Was that the cheapest discount they offered for the year ?
I Think it was, but not sure.

Maybe that discount last year Ended in June.

I'll re up again this year, probably this offer as well.

I thought the best deal was only $350? Not sure I will spring for it this year?

NFL Sunday Ticket is on sale now, until May 16, but to get the discount, you need to cancel it on your goggle account , I did as soon as the season was over.
Thanks for posting ...

You need to Cancel your account ?
So, if you had it last year, they don't give you a discount ??? Your not eligible ?

If I cancel my account, do I need a Different email address to sign in ?

IF thats the case, that would suck, having to make a new email each year in order to get thier deal.

I just went on to YTTV account and then Settings to see what they have to say ...

They show 2 offers currently ...
Then when you read the "Learn More " portion, it shows that it Ends May 16th ....

However, in that same section it says the Season Starts on Sunday Sept 10 ....
Which is NOT a Sunday this year ....

I am wondering if this offer is from Last Year still ????
Even though it Says 2024 in the original start of the offer.

Guys, Don't try to do it thru your You Tube Settings , Use the link meStevo posted.

When I went looking at the offers they had, thinking it would be current (why would they still have OLD stuff up) , I think they chaged the date, but not the offer and I don't think it will work thru the Setting / Sub section.

I went back and clicked on meStevos link and it looks more straight forward ...

I haven't ordered just yet ... kinda would like to talk to them and see what the Auto Renew price is first.

Looks like it's full retail...once it's charged you can't cancel

It is not full retail, it is the same price as the early bird special last year and still less then DirecTV charged for it in their final year with ST.

Now, before anyone else wants to respond to you, I will post this-

Why the **** is Apple doing this?

Just sign up on Google, download the YouTube app for either Apple TV unit, ipad, whatever, pay hundreds less

My guess is this is a mistake, press/bloggers is jumping on it.

By the way, I paid $179 for ST this year.

They figured people spend hundreds on their watch, what is a few hundred markup on the NFL?

In general, it is best to sign up directly with the service, not via a device or Apple/Google store. Avoid the Google/Apple tax.

My guess is that it was a "mistake" to get a feel for how little attention to pricing their customers pay.

I went to check on my ipad, no luck since I am already signed up.

But I did discover something, you are able to sign up via Google and Everpass, for Sunday Ticket for Business, that means any business, that has fast enough Broadband, no longer needs DirecTV to receive it.

No way would I pay the near $700 for the NFL Sunday Ticket on the Apple app store, just a ridiculous price, I really wonder if the price is more on Apple or the NFL, this just seems like a ridiculous price tag, so I'll gladly pay my $350 next year, I was able to get it for $250 this year thanks to getting $100 off back before Summer began, just sucks that I can't do payments, as I live in NY and apparently YouTube/Google can't offer monthly payments on it.

This is the first year I subscribed to Sunday Ticket, and for the first time, I can see the huge advantage of streaming. I have been a Dish subscriber for 15 years and love the service, but it is going to be tempting as the streaming technology continues to evolve and improve to move to streaming for everything. I got T-Mobile 5G home internet last year and that is a game changer compared to my slow AT&T DSL line.

The Sunday Ticket setup on YouTube is really incredible. I am sold on that. The other piece is that I have a Zapperbox with the YouTube app built into it. Zapperbox allows me to watch the OTA games on FOX and CBS using the ATSC 3.0 standard and HDR 1080p - much better quality than the normal ATSC 1.0 channel that is bitstarved. I was able to watch the Bears game and in the afternoon I had the Raiders/Chargers game on. Once I loaded the YouTube app on the Zapperbox, I am guessing it is stored in RAM because the second time I went back it loaded nearly instantly. I was able to watch the games OTA, have 3 clicks to get to the YouTube app and watch Sunday Ticket, then hitting the "previous channel" button on the Zapperbox remote minimizes the YouTube app and I was back on the Bears game.

It was amazing. I have said in other posts that my big thing is football season. Once ESPN comes out with their DTC offering next fall, and the fact NFL Network comes with NFL+, it could be very convincing for sports fans that have fast internet to accelerate cord cutting even more.

They have a deal right now if you are in the military or a veteran you can get NFL Sunday Ticket for $199.00.

Get NFL Sunday Ticket for $199

You have to use ID.me for verification of your status. It says the offer is good until 10/15/2024.
Man, with my luck I'd sign up to the military for the discount and then President Biden would go on TV that night to announce we are mobilizing to fight a war against Spheron I.
