Good Retailer in Dallas (Plano) area?

Looking to sign up for Dish. Have heard to use a local retailer vs Dishnetwork direct. I need suggestions/referrals from happy customers.

I could also use a Club Dish code

I could recommend myself but I really prefer Directv customers over DISH Notwerk so I will just say use the phonebook and see who is still in business. The Phone book usually takes about six months after you purchase an ad before it is printed. If they answer the phone they have probably at least 6 months experience. DISH loves recruiting new blood so they have many dealers that don't last until the book is published.

there is a guy "neutron" on this board that lives close to that area. i don't know how often he checks the dish network forum. you could send him a pm with the link to this thread attached. he will help you out if he can.

I live in Plano and I had a local retailer come out when i first signed up many years ago. Now that I look back on it, he did a pretty crappy installation. Unfortunately, I dont remember who it was. I have had really good luck with the DNSC guys that have been out since then.

Fine and dandy, but I still need a referral :)

Hey I told him I didn't want DISH Notwerk customers and I suggested that he check the phone book to find listed dealers that answered their phones. Have you got a better suggestion I've been selling Satellite systems for 20 years and I take care of my customers. How many can say that? :)

You could stop using "Notwerk" which is, quite frankly, really silly. And I don't think your suggestion of "open the phone book" is very helpful. That's more common sense than it is a suggestion. He wanted a GOOD retailer, not ANY retailer. A bad retailer is still going to be listed in the phone book.

Your right but the really bad dealers won't answer the phones they have closed their doors. He is still going to have to evaluate the dealer even if someone else refers him. How will he know if it isn't a person referring the dealer for a $50 referral fee. He still needs to make the final decesion. :) Chad I use Notwerk because it is almost the correct spelling just like DISH's software almost works correctly, but not quite.

I know why you use it. It's not that hard to figure out (it's not that clever either). Regardless, we all know you don't like DISH. We all know you think it's crappy software. Yada. Yada. Yada. We all get it.

Guys,

I am seriously looking for some help and while I appreciate everyone's opinions, it is not helping me to have this dialog on going.

Boba, I will have to do some research, but would rather have a starting point of someone giving me a recommendation than just jumping into the phone book, hence the request.

Fromthe traffic so far on this thread, looks like I won;t get that help. So be it.

If anyone else out there would like to recommend someone, great. If not, that's OK too, but no need for a battle to be waged, other than it keep bumping my post ;)

Honestly, I've never had any problems going directly thru Dish for installation. Both my original install and more recent 61.5 install were handled very well.

GEEP DNSC (Dish Network Service Corporation) is located in Farmers Branch so you might call them a local dealer. Single Source Satellite, 888-671-3474 posts as Cruz 1 is in Dallas and still loves DISH Notwerk.

I used Hawk Electronics. They may not have done the best job in the world, but a year later, everything still works. I live in Flower Mound.

4y old 301 looses all channels. What could be wrong?
