There is a standard LO dual as well, similar form-factor, usless I am thinking about the Avenger.. They seem very similar gain-wise.

Aren't they both standard LO? If not, what's the different between Standard and Universal? Are they interchangeable? Do they work with switches? Sorry for all the questions.

Not really, unless you live on the East coast and are going after Atlantic or Eur birds.

Don't forget Mexican birds 116.8w* and one Western US bird on 127w*. Also SES 10 bird on 67w* all use low Ku band ranges 10.7 to 11.7 GHz. Don't be surprised to see new birds in the future taking avantage of low Ku band.:):hungry

Are there any channels of interest on those satellites?

Yes on 116.8 bird carry Mexican PBS called canal 22.2 from Mexico City DF and canal 14 mixed varity tv shows and fair amount of TV news. 2 stations are on low Ku band that it's FTA. I think there are 2 more stations on normal mid Ku band. There 275 plus channels but mostly are scrambled. The signal is surprising strong at 72 to 75 percent here in New Mexico.:). Good luck DXing on Mexican stations!:bow
