i have a gekko ird and trying to setup a dmx941u lnb, unverisal 5150-6000 cband settings for that lnb,but i only get 5150-6000 only on ku band.anyone have a word on this?thanks

don't know either of these gekko ird & dmx941u lnb, unverisal

but basic information probably is much like a DMX741U which is a C & KU universal lnbf
c band LO is 5150
Ku LO for Universal is 9750 & 10600
usually these can't be setup at same time on satellite configuration so most receivers set 1 for C band and another for KU

so it would be like this

galaxy 3c LO = 5150
galaxy 3ku LO = 9750 & 10600

if you are feeding both through the same coax from the lnbf this usually involves a switch ( since its a universal lnbf) it will be a diesqc switch so port 1 and probably port 2

when i first install my 6' dish i was useing a viewsat 2000.and the settings was;c-band
lnb power-on
lnb-type-unverisal
lnb,lnb-frequency- 5150-6000
lnb 22khz-on
k/u band
lnb power-on
lnb-type-standard
lnb,lnb-frequency-9750-6000
lnb 22khz-off
on the gekko when using c-band i do not have the option off
lnb-type-unverisal-5150-6000
that option is only in the k/u standard setup.thank you

is this the receiver? http://www.hypermegasat.com/Optibox%20Gekko%20HD.htm
Don't know that LNBF, never heard of it, is that the correct model?
If it's C and Ku, C band should (most likely) be Standard, L.O. 5750. And if a N.A. model Universal Ku, L.O. 9750-10600 is the norm.
And as pointed out earlier, if it has internal band selection, It would have to be diseqc. #1 C band, #2 Ku (Usually) as the L.O. is going to use 22Khz to select which to use.
