Justified Final-Season First Look: Raylan Rallies Anxious Ava to Betray Boyd — Plus:
Returns! https://tv.yahoo.com/news/justified-final-season-first-look-174646088.html
Will “the bullet find” Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan as FX’s Justified draws to a close? Or might Ava (played by Joelle Carter) be the one to wind up on the business end of a gun, her husband’s finger on the trigger? Those questions and others are raised by a new promo (above) for the beloved drama’s sixth and final season, premiering in January. You’ll witness Ava’s anxiety over the “danger” of snitching on Boyd (Walton Goggins), strong-armed as she has been by lawman Givens. You’ll see Boyd tender a provocative proposition to his Mrs. — when he isn’t ominously eyeballing her in her sleep.Oh, and you’ll find out which scalawag is out of the clink and hoping to jump back in the mix, as these final episodes unfurl.

'Justified' Season 6 premiere review: Little stuff brings big payoff http://www.newsday.com/entertainmen...view-little-stuff-brings-big-payoff-1.9815438
"I'm scared," said Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter) at the shank end of the fifth season. "Don't be," replied U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) -- who has one last job before relocating to Florida to be nearer his baby girl. "Everything is going to be fine." Uh-huh. Ava is out of jail on a condition -- to gather enough dirt on her ex, Boyd (Walton Goggins), so Raylan can build that RICO case against him, and be done with Harlan County forever.

Post Mortem: Justified Boss Explains 'Heartbreaking' Twist, Eerie Final Scene https://tv.yahoo.com/news/post-mort...ains-heartbreaking-twist-eerie-041526079.html
The following contains spoilers from Tuesday’s Justified season premiere. As FX’s Justified opened its final season with a tense hour that pitted Raylan against a federale, had Ava on edge and saw Boyd pull off a brazen bank heist, almost everyone made it out alive.Almost everyone. Because in the course of the aforementioned heist, Dewey Crowe was used as a distraction, to draw Raylan and Tim off Boyd’s scent. After Dewey grumbled some about his fate as bait, and with Boyd wary of the parolee’s trustworthiness, he received as recompense a bullet in the back of his head, as he studied an old photograph of Boyd’s coal miner kinfolk.TVLine asked Justified showrunner Graham Yost about pulling the trigger on the delightfully dim-witted, delusional Dewey, who has been played off and on by Damon Herriman since the pilot, as well as the premiere’s final, unsettling scene.

Justified "Burned" Review: Every Man (and Woman) for Themselves https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/justified-burned-review-every-man-160300813.html
Why aren't more people talking about how Justified is having one of its best seasons ever? The mere thought of it makes my head hurt, guys. The series hasn't been this consistent since the consensus-best Season 2, when the Bennetts took over Harlan County and introduced us to a new breed of villain, and I'd say that Season 6 is quickly gaining ground in the race for the title of the series' best. Let's hold off on making any bold declarations until we see how things end, but if I had to rule right this second, I'd be inclined to give the trophy to the current string of episodes.Season 6 has anchored itself with a feeling of finality—which makes sense, of course, seeing as how it's Justified's final season and all. Old faces have popped up on the reg as we prepare to say goodbye to everyone for good, all the new bad guys have an end-of-the-road feel to them, and our favorite regulars are shifting into positions they can't back away from. The result has been a sequence of excellent episodes full of posturing and piece-moving as things fall into place for a big end-of-days showdown, and "Burned" was exactly what we needed to vent all this pent-up tension. And, you know, to make things even more tense going forward.
