I think that may be more of a ViP thing. Receivers with the Hopper interface usually display the season and episode number within the season, just like Dish Anywhere. (Whether the episode number is correct can be a different matter entirely. )On continuing series like "The Last Ship", episode numbers continue numerically from season to season in the program guide (e.g. episode 68, 69 ...) but restart by season when using Dish Anywhere (e.g. season 5 episode 1,2,3 ..... Descriptions of the episodes are different as well which can make it difficult to find the one you want
J . . . Wish we could have thread where we could list errors in the program guide so they could be corrected.
No issues lately except a few recordings have been interrupted midway then resumed. Happens to Superstore every week.
Here's one. Just yesterday I finally got around to watching an old recording from last summer from my local PBS affiliate, which was simply labeled "Fleetwood Mac: Rumours" and the tile was the cover art for that album. There was no other description, other than repeating the title. When I watched it, it turned out to be a tribute band called "Rumours of Fleetwood Mac," not the actual band. It was still okay, but it was not exactly what I was expecting.Jeopardy All Star Games - the Friday episode is incorrect. Has same description as the Saturday rerun. Just trying to record the tournament and noticed the issue.
Same old issues still occurring with a new twist here and there. A few new issues now and then, but nothing really worth rehashing the same old complaints. Most issues I've seen are on local channels, religious networks and business channels.
Wish we could have thread where we could list errors in the program guide so they could be corrected.
Probably another show with same titleHere is another weird guide issue that I have mentioned before, but it is worth mentioning again. In the Cleveland, Ohio market, Fox 8 News at Noon consistently shows the episode name as "The Big Fish" with the description "Advice on angling in southern Louisiana." This is an odd description for a newscast in northeast Ohio. Other newscasts on this station do not have this problem with the guide description, this only happens on the Noon guide listings.
Right, but that title (The Big Fish) should not be showing up as the episode title for this newscast, either. That was my point.Probably another show with same title
Same here in New Orleans on our Fox 8 at noon. Our station probably was the one at one time to have The Big Fish, but not now. Here is another weird guide issue that I have mentioned before, but it is worth mentioning again.
