Sends me to 219Fail. The FS1 banner sends you to MavTV (ch 214) not FS1.
Been watching a little of FS1 but I'm annoyed. They have the picture shrunk a little so there are black bars on the sides just so they can fit there crawl in at the bottom. I hate this trend, I have a 16:9 TV and I want the image to fill my screen (unless I'm waiting a widescreen movie).
yesI haven't tuned in FS1yet,is the ticker like ESPN's?Constant scroll no matter what is on?I hate it on ESPN.
It's been ALL OVER on commercials for about a month now on D*.
If you watch baseball at all you'll know all about it.
DIRECTV never sent a on-screen message to my Genie saying that I'd find FS1 on channel 2xx today.[/qujote]
uh yeah they did. Was a message around noon central. Around 4:00 central there was a message for FS2
213-1. Go to "all channels" and its clearly listedI did find two DIRECTV fails today. FS2 is not in my CHOICE package (you'd think they'd put them in the same tier since they are FOX Sports channel 1 and 2 -- it's as stupid as having ESPN without ESPN2 in the same tier) and also I can't find the MLB alternate channel in my guide listing (214 taken over by MavTV?) so when rockies/dbacks air on that channel, I don't know where to tune for the alternate game.
213-1. Go to "all channels" and its clearly listed
You can see the light color all the way to the edge of the screen all the way down the ticker. It changes with the background. Disappears with over scan (16:9 mode).

So first you're complaining that they didn't send a message to anyone, then you're complaining about not getting yours on Friday?that's new as of this evening. I used to tune 213-1 for MLB Network Primary HD. Now it says just "213" is MLBN HD and "213-1" is the alternate s I guess I have to get used to punching 213-1 for alternate HD instead of the primary HD.
btw, just got a msg on my directv receiver about the channel moves so they finally communicated that, some 12+ hours after FS1 went live. You'd think DIRECTV would communicate that by receiver on-screen msg on Friday when they knew things were all set to go with FS1.
I have not had that issue at all on my Sony TV and have watched FS1 & FS2 all day. The programming has looked great and picture has filled the entire screen to the end.
Overscan will cut the edge off where this happens. The picture fills the screen. The ticker doesn't quite but where it stops is out of the overscan/16:9 area.
