Fort Worth TX HR 44 availability?

So I came home the other day, and the wife is talking to DTV about a remote issue. Told her to ask about an upgrade to the Genie (been with them 4+yrs.)
Rep said not a problem, so I said make sure it is going to be a HR44. Rep said they could not guarantee what model would be received?
Is this correct? Told them no for now, but would really like to upgrade, but want the 44.

Also, I have 3 DVR's that I am keeping, so if adding a Genie affects what switch is required, will DTV replace that as well?
Is the free Genie with a new contract, the best deal you can get, or is there more for the asking?

You could get an Hr34 or an Hr44, whatever the installer has on the truck if you ask him nicely. The upgrade to the LNB and to the SWM16 switch will be included as part of the install price.
Some people have got free HBO, a reduction in their monthly fees etc Whatever you can negotiate with the CSR.

Yes, if you don't care you can get either one. I would not accept the 34, simply refuse installation if it is not 44, eventually you will get it.
