FF / REW Issue HR-20 / MPEG-4

I am having a very annoying issue with my HR-20. It worked really, really well for the first couple of weeks but lately the FF and REW functions aren't working properly on my locals. It's like the picture that shows up on the screen isn't in synch with where you actually have advanced to in the program so when you push play, it stalls for about a second and shows a different picture than what was showing when I pushed play. The offset seems to grow the longer you FF. For example, if I FF at 1x for about 5 seconds, it only 'jumps' about 5-10 seconds but if I FF at 3x for 5-10 seconds, it will 'jump' 30 seconds to a minute or more. It's gotten to the point where I can't really skip through commercials without missing too much of the show after the commercial break. Anyone else experiencing this? By the way, it works perfectly on MPEG-2 HD channels...
