Existing Customer Promotion

Anyone who got the existing customer promotion have them use 2 discounts the first month? At that rate my discount would end after 1 year and not 2 like agreed to.

I think it was the timing of the agreement. Looks like almost an entire month is prorated, thus you're seeing the discounts for the prorated/backdated month plus the current billing cycle. I'll bet you'll just see only "3 of 24" on your next bill.

Yes CalebS@dish got back to me and pretty much said the same thing. I was going to wait until the next bill but didn't want it to go for so long if it wasn't correct.

Just make sure you check the next bill to see if it has the 3 of 24 credit. It has been awhile, but in the past when I would see the first two credits front-loaded on one bill, sometimes it would skip a month before I would get credit number 3.

Have you ever got that big of credits before and what programming pack do u have now?

I have gotten that kind of discount before, it has been awhile. Just finished a 2 yr price lock offer, have the 250 with auto pay and all the movie channels discounted. Kept pretty much the same programming for the last several years.

I used to get credits like that maybe 3 and 4 years ago, but have been with the Flex pack for the last 2 years and the price freeze on locals etc. If I could keep my Flex pack and get about $15.00 a month off my fees of $22.00 a month I would be happy. I have already dropped locals and the $10.00 fee ,soon to be $12.00 a month. I recently bought a Tablo 4 tuner dvr for all my local recordings and life time membership , so no fees. It works great for my version of Primetime Anytime. I have thought of dropping to a couple of Wallys and lose the hopper since I really can't justify the $15.00 fee a month for just recording cable shows. But If I keep the hopper 3 and 4k joey and get $15.00 in discounts a month it would equal the same as 2 Wallys without losing the Hopper3 and 4k joey. I will soon call DISH come next month when the price freeze is up.

My preferred customer offer just ran out and I called, they could not put it back on for some reason. They gave me 15.00 credit and said to call back in about a month and it should go back on. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, as I said in post number 41. They were not able to give me the Preferred Customer Offer again, but they did give me a $10 per month credit for 12 months. They said that should give enough time for my account to get straightened out so I can get the Preferred Customer Offer again. If they still can't give you the Preferred Customer Offer next month, ask for them to manually put a recurring monthly credit on your account for a year instead.

I guess Dish does not want my business. I just did a chat and basically got told to take a walk. No offers other than $5 STARZ for 3 months and free Showtime for 3 months. I will try again another day and see if anything changes.

Chat representatives are very limited in what they can offer. You have to call to get the better deals. Start by calling 1-888-496-1260. That will get you directly to the Loyalty Department. If you still are not satisfied with what they offer, ask for the Office of the President. They should be able to take care of you.

I had the simliar situation . I called in two days in a row to get the Preferred customer offer since my old one expired on the 2nd. The first time I called they said the system had a glitch and they couldn't do that yet but they gave me $10.00 off for 12 months. The second time I called back the next day they put me to the Presidents office and a woman talked to me. She said that they would monitor my account and give me the preferred two year deal as soon as my account would allow it. Last night I got an email from DISH and they said that I was eligible for an additional $30.00 off a month for a year. So now I am getting $40.00 off my account for a year. When I checked online the credits were there. So I guess I will stay with yearly credits over the two year deal, because the two year deal would only give me $20.00 off a month.

New to hopper/Joey/DVR, got DVR question
