I'm in the same predicament as you were... my 1st bill after the "Preferred Customer 2 Year Offer" went up $50 .
You at least give me some hope for reducing my current and future bills.

I also miss DIRT and Matt 'Speedy' Gonzales

Did your deal require to commit to 24 months?

Yes, 24 month commit. Getting the 3.0 Joey's and a newer hopper.

Called Dish yesterday, agreed to new account upgrade with no contract. Dish tech just left my house this morning. Installed 1 new hopper 3, and 1 new joey 3, 2 new voice remotes and a new lnb. Currently transferring timers and recordings from old hopper to new. AT120+ with local channels, zero upgrade fees, $40 monthly credit, so after all taxes, equipment fees and dvr fees my new total monthly bill is $71.05. It seems like a reasonable monthly bill to me. 10 year+ customer with zero late payments. I do have to call Dish after 6 months to renegotiate monthly bill going forward.
