Hello, I am having pixelation issues with ESPN. The problem only occurs, to my knowledge, in the afternoon before 8 or so in the evening. Sometimes I have an issue with ESPN2 but nothing with any other HD channels? The system has been running fine for several months and all of sudden last week this starts. My signal strengths are as follow (sat - strength )119- 87, 101-81, 110-between 68-74 only 3 TP, 103-74.
Any info would be appreciated, I have called DTV and they are absolutely no help, I shouldn't know more than the person I speak with for tech support (which isn't saying much). I wish they, or someone, would tell me if its my system or are they moving stuff around.
Thanks in advance for your replies

IF they were moving stuff around, we would all be having the same problems, so you can rule that out.

Without being there to look things over,
I would suspect you have a LNB going bad (note going) bad or possibly a bad piece of coax .... either case it has an issue with probably heating and cooling.

Can anyone tell me what satellites ESPN-HD, ESPN2-HD, TNT-HD, and channel 95HD (NFL network) are on. I am still having some issues with this. Its not a line of sight issue because it has worked well for a while and this sort of happened all of a sudden a couple weeks ago. How would expansion, due to it being a little warmer around here, affect the LNB?

A tech is scheduled to come out this Sat again , but that doesn't really mean anything in this part of metro Atlanta.

www.lyngsat.com/hd will show you the sats with hd content.

Thank you, that helps me out a lot.
I basically am not getting the 110 satellite signal good. The signal strength is between 68-74 on 3 Tp. It has been that same level for a while and working well. Do you guys think this is an LNB problem or a signal strength problem?

Those aren't great numbers, but you should still be getting a good picture with no breakups. Do you have an H20 or HR20? If so, they show numbers lower than the other receivers, even though the signal is just as strong.

I have an H20-600. I think it may be an LNB?, but what do I know. It worked well for a while with these same signal strength readings, then this all of a sudden happens. Its all with 110 sat. I wish ESPN wasn't on that. I hope the tech can fix the issue on Saturday, but I doubt it knowing there track record around here.
Thanks

Hey guys, just wanted your opinion on this issue again. The tech came out today and measured everything and determined all to be well. The pixelation occurs after I watch the channel ESPNHD, TNTHD,or channel 95 channel. I can watch the HD channels fine for about thirty minutes or so. Then the pixelation starts and degrades from there to unwatchable. My 110 signal during the time is between 68 and 70 and my 119 signal is 87. When I went up and looked at my SD reciever the 110 signal is 90 and the 119 in 92? (during the same time) I called DTV and they are now saying it may be the reciever? They are sending me a new reciever now. Do you think that may be what the issue is? Also this seems to occur in the afternoon, I have no idea why?? Like I said this has worked well for several months now, no issues what so ever.
Any replies are much appreciated

I just hope they send me an H20-100 I heard they are better than the 600 I currently have.
