Charter to Add Epix HD
Washington, D.C. (February 4, 2010) -- Charter Communications has confirmed that it will carry the Epix HD premium movie channel in May, the company announced today.
To date, only Verizon's FiOS TV service carries the channel, which has premiered such films as Iron Man. However, Cox Communications and Mediacom have also said it will carry Epix, starting in April.
Epix, a joint venture of Viacom, Paramount, LionsGate and MGM, says it will be available in 16 million U.S. homes in May when Charter adds it to its lineup.
Dish Network has also been rumored to be interested in carrying Epix, but the satcaster has not confirmed that publicly.
