just called to upgrade to a dvr receiver lady told me i could not hook up myself, need 2 lines? what does she mean because the last time the directv guy was here i was not impressed by his wiring skills. i have a rg6 and phone at the location where this will be. can run the other line needed? all my phones and cables homerun to a box in basement. any advice thanks

This is normal, seeing most sub's need the new 5 lnb dish set up.
As for the 2nd line run, that is so you can use the receiver to record more than one show at a time or record one show and watch something else.
