DVR 510 use in RV

Will the 510 work with an old 300 satellite dish? I realize it will only tune one satellite at a time. We just have a regular dish on top of our RV, and the 500 is mounted on a stand we set outside of the RV. When we just make quick overnight stops we only use the roof-mounted dish. This will be the first time we will be taking it in our RV.

The 510 is legacy compatible. Run the check switch to get it going. But better check with someone else on here about RV usage.

Remember that the 9-day EPG is ONLY on the 110 satellite.

Oh - and if your D500 and the rooftop dish have different LNB classes (Legacy vs. DishPro), you should clear the switch matrix BEFORE you switch between them.

Since the 510 has a hard drive it may get damaged especially if it is in use while moving around (if you plan on watching recorded shows while on the road when you cannot get a signal).
